What we believe

Revive the Republic Ministries is an Independent Baptist evangelistic ministry sent out of the local church, Fairpark Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas, to serve and strengthen local churches.

We believe the Bible teaches that every Christian is called to personal holiness and a life separated from the sinful influences of the world. We use the King James Bible exclusively in all preaching, teaching, and ministry.

The Word of God — We believe the Bible is the inerrant, infallible Word of God. Every word was verbally inspired by God and recorded by human authors. The original autographs have been miraculously preserved, word for word, through the manuscripts in the original languages including the Greek Textus Receptus for the New Testament. We believe the King James Bible is the accurate word-for-word translation of the original language manuscripts for the English-speaking world. The Bible is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice and is the sole basis for all doctrinal positions. (2 Timothy 3:16; Proverbs 30:5; Matthew 5:18)

The Godhead – The Trinity is one God in three equal persons: the Father, the Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. (1 John 5:7-8; Timothy 2:5)

The Father — We believe God the Father is holy, and perfectly just in all His judgments, while extending grace and mercy to all who will believe. He is the Ruler of the universe, and all things are of Him, through Him, and to Him. God the Father is omniscient (Psalm 147:5), omnipotent (Luke 1:37), omnipresent (Jeremiah 23:24; Proverbs 15:3), and immutable (Malachi 3:6). He is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ and of all who are born again through faith in His Son (Romans 11:36; Ephesians 4:6). 

The Son — We believe Jesus Christ is the eternally existing Son of God, one with the Father and the Holy Ghost. He was sent by the Father to earth to pay the penalty for the sins of mankind through His substitutionary death on the cross. Jesus was miraculously conceived by the Holy Ghost and born of a virgin, making Him fully God and fully man. Though subject to the same temptations as mankind, He lived a sinless life. He was crucified, buried, and bodily rose again from the grave on the third day. His shed blood provides the atonement for sin (Hebrews 9:22). Jesus ascended to heaven, where He is seated at the right hand of the Father and ever lives to make intercession for His people until the fullness of time, when He will return in power and glory. (Hebrews 12:2; John 3:16; Philippians 2:5–8; Isaiah 7:14; John 10:30; Colossians 2:9)

The Holy Spirit — We believe the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Godhead, one with the Father and the Son. Jesus promised that the Comforter would remain with His people until His return. The Holy Spirit indwells every believer at the moment of salvation. He convicts men of their sinful state and convinces them of their need of salvation, and works in the hearts and lives of believers to sanctify them into the image of Christ. He empowers believers for service and distributes spiritual gifts and displays fruit for each believer according to the will of God. (John 14:16–17, 26; John 16:7–11; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 1 Corinthians 6:19–20; 1 Corinthians 12:3–11; Ephesians 5:18)

Salvation — We believe salvation from eternal condemnation is the free gift of God, offered to all by His grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone and not by works (Ephesians 2:8–10). Every person is born a sinner, separated from God, and in need of a Saviour (Romans 3:10, 23). The penalty for sin is eternal death in a literal Hell (Romans 6:23).

We believe Jesus Christ’s substitutionary death on the cross, His burial, and His bodily resurrection provide the only sufficient payment for the sins of mankind. Those who call out to God through faith in Christ alone for salvation receive the forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life (Acts 16:31, Romans 10:9).

We believe all who are saved are eternally secure in Christ and cannot lose their salvation, because nothing can separate the believer from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:38–39).

End Times — We believe in the imminent, pre-tribulation, pre-millennial return of Jesus Christ. At the rapture, Christ will resurrect the dead in Him and catch up all living believers to meet Him in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:13–18). This event will precede a literal seven-year Tribulation, during which God will pour out His righteous judgment upon the earth.

At the conclusion of the Tribulation, Jesus Christ will return bodily to the earth to defeat His enemies and establish His literal one-thousand-year Millennial Kingdom, where He will reign in righteousness (Revelation 19:11–20:6).

At the end of the Millennium, Satan will be cast forever into the lake of fire, and all the unsaved dead will be resurrected to stand before God at the Great White Throne Judgment. They will be judged according to their works and cast into the lake of fire, which is the second death (Revelation 20:7–15).

Following the final judgment, God will create a new heaven and a new earth, where all who have trusted in Christ will dwell with Him forever in perfect righteousness, joy, and fellowship (Revelation 21:1–22:5).

Heaven – Heaven is a real place without sin, corruption, or suffering where the saints will enjoy eternal life in the presence of God. (John 14:2, Luke 23:43)

Hell – Hell is a literal place of eternal fire, spiritual death, and physical torment. Anyone who rejects Jesus will be condemned to pay for their sin for all eternity in Hell. It is the will of God that all would be saved and not face Hell, but God is Holy and cannot excuse unpardoned sin.  (Revelation 21:8, Romans 6:23, Revelation 20:15)

The Church – The church is a local assembly of saved and baptized believers. Christ started the church with His disciples and He is the head of the church. The church is the bride of Christ. The local church should be an autonomous body. (Matthew 16:18, Hebrews 10:24-25, Matthew 18:20, Acts 2:41)

Baptism – Christians are baptized by the authority given to the local church in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, only after salvation. Baptism is obedience to God, identifying with Jesus, and symbolic of the death burial and resurrection of Christ. (Romans 6:4, Galatians 3:27, Acts 10:48, Acts 8:38, Matthew 3:13-17)

The Family – Marriage is the union between one man and one woman as ordained by God. The marriage relationship is the only legitimate place for physical intimacy. Children are a heritage of the Lord and God has given the husband and wife the mandate to be fruitful and multiply. (Ephesians 5:22-33, Hebrews 13:4, Genesis 1:28, Genesis 2:24)

Israel – God established an everlasting covenant with Abraham in Genesis 12, 15, and 17, a covenant that was reaffirmed throughout Scripture, including in Romans 11. This covenant remains in effect for the physical descendants of Abraham, the Jewish people, today. God promised the land of Israel to Abraham’s descendants as an everlasting possession, and the Jewish people continue to inhabit that land. We believe the reestablishment of the modern State of Israel in 1948 is a significant fulfillment of biblical prophecy (Ezekiel 36:24) and a reminder that, while New Testament believers have been grafted into the family of God through faith in Jesus Christ, the Lord has not finished His redemptive purposes for the nation of Israel (Romans 11).
